PRESS: Russian govt to start discussing Natl Tech Initiative Wed
MOSCOW, Jun 22 (PRIME) -- An interdepartmental group of the Russian government will discuss later on Wednesday implementation of the National Technological Initiative program, worked out by the Agency for Strategic Initiatives upon President Vladimir Putin’s order, business daily Kommersant reported Wednesday.
The agency expects the country to have its own programming language by 2035, an absolutely safe connection on the basis of infrastructure of quantum communications and even teleportation, among others.
The implementation of so-called SafeNet, a roadmap of the National Technological Initiative, will consume 10 billion rubles in 2016–2018, including half of the amount coming from the federal budget.
SafeNet encompasses development of cyber-physical systems, among other tasks. Cyber-physical systems are “smart systems comprising networks of interrelated calculating and physical components, like robots… medical implants…for instance.”
A source close to the agency said these initiatives will be discussed by the interdepartmental group with participation of Deputy Prime Minister Arkady Dvorkovich and presidential aide Andrei Belousov.
The agency expects to see appearance of 5G infrastructure in 2018–2025 in a number of the country’s regions and a single network of protection against cyberthreats, among others.
